The Cooper City Antique Mall is excited to offer our second restoration and design contest in which you can:
Recycle, Repurpose, Restore, or Refashion
Can you make something out of nothing? Maybe not, but you can “Make Something out of Something, Someone else may think is Worthless or even Useless”.. That’s what the Fall 2012 contest is all about. It is about making something that may not seem like anything into something either pretty or useful.
SHOW OFF HOW YOU:Recycled, Repurposed, or Restored your entry by using an item purchased at Cooper City Antique Mall. It can be an article of clothing, a household item, apiece of furniture as long as it’s primary item was purchased at Cooper City Antique Mall. Other “add-ons” can come from your personal stash or be purchased elsewhere. something that has parts of which were Purchased at The Cooper City Antique Mall
RECYCLE: Making Something New Out of Something Old, Making Something Old New Again…
REPURPOSE: Remember as a child you made a planter out of a milk carton or turned a can into a pencil cup? That was a repurpose project.” Repurpose” is a functional design competition in which participants create an item using various, miscellaneous, unrelated items as the materials by which a new and unique creation is assembled.
RESTORE: Are you good at restoring old things? Do you have a talent for taking things that seem ready for the junk pile and restoring them back to their original beauty and luster? “Restoration” is when you restore/rebuild/refurbish an item back to how it looked when it was made.
REFASHION: If you sew or love to craft let us see if you can Turn a pair of jeans into an apron, skirt or purse. Turn a T-shirt into a necklace or a doilly into a dress.

RULES & GUIDELINES
1. Materials used MUST be recyclable, reusable or repurposed.
2. Old, out-of-style clothes may be used if they are turned into something new and exciting or if they were made out of components purchased at our store..
3. Timeline: Pick up or Download Application between October 20th and December 1, 2012
Entries must be registered at Cooper City Antique Mall by 6 PM on
4. Judges will award 2 prizes in the following categories:
• Most creative use of recycled, repurposed, reused materials
1st Prize$100.00 Prizes will be Gift Certificates to use at CCAM.
2nd Prize$50.00. Prizes will be Gift Certificates to use at CCAM.
1. How to Enter: THE CCAM “Show Off Your Antiques Purchased (S.O.A.P) at CCAM” Contest” begins on October 19, 2012, and ends at 6pm on December 1, 2012. Participants can visit the CCAM website at www.coopercityantiquemall.com and complete the online entry form as instructed.
1. Each entry must include entrant’s full name, age, address, phone number and e-mail address.
2.Submission Requirements: Submissions for the contest must consist of at least 1 photograph and/or one video no longer than three minutes that have been uploaded according to instructions and depicts an item purchased at CCAM . Permission/release forms must accompany application. Non- winning images may be resubmitted for future contests.
3.Eligibility: Must be 18 years old or over and a customer of CCAM. Must have purchased at least one item (antique/vintage item) at CCAM which can be validated by CCAM’s official mailing address. Contest is not open to employees, dealer, or members of their households and/or immediate families (spouse, parents, siblings, and children). Contest is governed by US law and is subject to all federal, state and local regulations.
4.Winning/Notification: Prize will be selected by the criteria set below. Winners of the prizes will be posted on the Website and contacted by phone as the information is available. Winner’s will be chosen on December 6th.
A. Forms must have been completed online which includes authorization for CCAM to use any submitted photos in our advertising media in print, web, and all other forms of media.. By sending in your photos you are agreeing to allow us to use your photos for advertising purposes. ________ Initial
B. Image must include at least 1 vintage or antique item purchased at CCAM. All submissions must include the name, phone and email information.
Designs will be judged on:
1. $100.00 Gift Certificate for First Prize
2. $50.00 Gift Certificate for Second Prize
Designs that are political, sexual or deemed inappropriate in nature will not be accepted.
Designs will be subject to evaluation by a review panel to ensure that they conform to the guidelines outlined therein. The review panel may reject any design that, in its sole discretion, does not adhere to these guidelines.
Placement of Projects:
Photo’s of the projects must be finished and delivered to The Cooper City Antique Mall by December 1, 2012 where they will be announced on December 5, 2012..
By submitting Suggested Theme & Style We have two areas we will be judging. How you used an antique purchased at CCAM in your home or office, or how you repurposed or reused an item purchased at CCAM in your home or office.

Things You Need To Include
At least one Antique purchased at The Cooper City Antique Mall
Each entry must be a Digital or Printed Photograph: Each image must be sent in alone (with each photograph sent (Emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org: Subject: SOAP Entry or 8.x10 photograph.
Application with consent to use your images for advertising purposes.
Things You Should Avoid
Respect copyright. DO NOT submit copyrighted work.
You MUST be able to prove ownership of any photographic elements (even in a modified state). Please provide attribution in the description field.
